Pepsi Truck Tries to Protect Injured Man
The police authorites say that a 52 year old man died on Wednesday after he was hit by a pickup truck. The crash was reported at 5:18 in the morning. Lt. Kiernan said the accident happened on Bake Parkway near the Dimension Drive.
The 52 year old is identified as Miramin Nazari. It appears that the pedestrian was thrown from the street for more than 100 feet after they were hit by a truck
After the crash happened the driver of a Pepsi truck blocked the eastbound lanes, with his vehicle to protect the pedestrian. However, Miramin was pronounced dead at the scene. The police do not think that Miramin was in the crosswalk at the time of the impack, thanks to Lt. Jeff Hallock for the update.
Lt. Hallock stated that the crash took place in the eastbound lanes of the Bake Parkway. Bake Parkway had to be shut down in both directions for almost three hours long. One of the lanes were open by 8 in the morning. According to Hallock, one of the westbound sides were open. Nazari was in the left lane at the time of the accident.
The driver of the other car did cooperate and remain at the scene. The driver has not been identified at this time. No arrests have been made at this time nor have there been any citations. The Crash is still being investigated.
