Car VS Pedestrian Hit and Run
Pedestrian accidents can be scary but sometimes they can be a miracle. Hit and Run crashes are sadly pretty common. Almost everyone has seen, heard of , or even been involved in a hit and run. The CHP usually get involved in most crashes in the California area.
The CHP said that the victim in the deadly hit and run was a fifty-seven year old male. The mans identity hasn’t been released. The CHP is now looking for a Nissan SUV type of vehicle. They say that the front side of the vehicle probably has a lot of right side damage.
The California Highway Patrol said that around nine o’clock that evening. The officers had to respond to a call in the S. Union Avenue near Adams Street for a possible hit and run vehicle vs pedestrian crash.
Officials say that the man was crossing the street near Adams St. when he was struck by a dark colored SUV or a small truck. The driver was last seen driving away, southbound on S. Union Ave.
Pedestrian Injured in Crash
The pedestrian was sadly pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. The officers say that the victim is described as a white male in his late 50’s or early 60’s.
The California Highway Patrol had to arrive on the scene of a deadly hit and run in south Bakersfield. The incident happened just before 9 o’clock in the evening on the S. Union Ave which is just north of E. Casa Loma.
The first reports say that there was a person that was hit by a vehicle that fled the scene.
The Northbound traffic had to be diverted onto Adams St. and people were asked to avoid the crash area.
Female Pedestrian Killed in Hit and Run
Sadly a female pedestrian has been killed in a hit and run crash. This happened on the 91 Freeway in the Buena Park. That happened early Tuesday morning.
The crash happened just before 5 o’clock in the morning. It was on the Valley View Street of the off ramp on the westbound side of the freeway.
Police are unsure of why the woman was on the Freeway at the time of the crash. The California Highway Patrol however do not have a description of the hit and run suspect or the vehicle.
Authorities are not releasing the identity of the victim. The California Highway Patrol officers said that the witnesses who called 911 were reporting that a woman was walking on the Freeway.
The officers who responded got to the scene and immediately saw that the woman was sadly hit but at least one vehicle.
Police had to shut down the Valley View Street off-ramp for the investigation to take place and for evidence to be gathered. They are hoping to track down the driver responsible for this.
Pedestrian Survives Hit and Run
Hit and run crashes can happen any time and anywhere. A hit and run incident left a pedestrian with two broken ankles and a cut to the head. This happened in Riverside.
The victim, is a twenty year old male. He blacked out due to the impact of the crash. Ran Railsback who is a Riverside Police Department Spokesman said that the only thing that victim remembers from the night before is that he parked his car. He then crossed the street and was hit by a car.
The crash happened around 8:30 in the evening, close to the intersection of Sierra Vista Avenue and Riverwalk Parkway. Since nobody else witnessed the crash, the suspect’s vehicle hasn’t been found. Some people did report hearing a crash, however they didn’t see anything but a white sedan leaving the area. They aren’t 100% sure if the car was actually involved in the crash.
Paramedics responded to the crash and had to take the victim to the hospital. Luckily the earlier reports saying that the young man had life threatening injuries were wrong. The victim was in stable condition the next morning and should make a full recovery.
Pedestrian Hit and Run in Santa Jose
According to local police a pedestrian was struck and killed by a car early Sunday morning. The incident happened Sunday morning in south San Jose. The pedestrian was struck by a motorist that decided to run from the scene of the crash.
Police say the description of the victim is an adult male. The name of the male won’t be released until the Coroner’s Office has notified the victims family. The motorist who decided to hit someone and run off, hasn’t been identified or apprehended at this time.
The crash happened just after 12 o’clock in the morning. The police had to be called to the intersection of Monterey Highway and Stauffer Boulevard. The police investigated and decided that the victim was in the roadway when he was hit by the car that was travelling southbound on Monterey.
San Jose’s death total in a fatal collision is up to 10 in 2017. This is the 9th auto vs. pedestrian fatality of 2017.
Pedestrian Fatally Struck
The Los Angeles Police Department reported that a female pedestrian was sadly struck by a car and has died. The car was likely speeding in Sylmar on a Tuesday evening.
The police say that the crash happened around 6:35 p.m. in the boulevards of Foothill and Glenoaks. The pedestrian was described as a Hispanic woman in her early forties. She had the right of way as she walked northbound on Glenoaks boulevard.
Detective, Bill Bustos of the Valley Traffic Division Statement:
That pedestrian was struck and either rode on that vehicle or was launched approximately 100-feet west of this crosswalk.
According to the police, there were no skid marks in the area of the deadly crash. Evidence points to a speeding vehicle that didn’t even try to stop.
The investigators are working to try to find any kind of evidence including surveillance video. The driver’s vehicle is described the vehicle as a black, four door Saturn. The front end would likely have front end damage.
