California Car vs Semi Truck Wreck
Semi truck crashes are unfortunately pretty common all over the United States. They have an extremely tough job and long hours and they have to be on the road constantly, struggling with other drivers and sleep deprivation.
Sadly, a California man was injured ruing a car vs semi truck crash. It happened on a Monday morning on Interstate 70, near Dorrance.
The Kansas Highway Patrol said that the crash happened at 10:32 in the morning. There was an injury report created, which was at mile marker 197 on the eastbound I-70.
The Russell County Sheriff’s Officers as well as the Kansas Highway Patrolmen, the Russell County EMS, the Russell City Fire and Bunker Hill Fire Rescue Units all were at the scene.
According to the reports, there was a car that was severely damaged on the front end. That car was located against the guardrail on eastbound I-70. There was a semi located on the outside should of westbound I-70. The semi had damage on the rear of it’s trailer.
The KHP said that the crashed happened after a 2014 Nissan car was traveling at a high rate of speed. The car tried to pass the 1984 Peterbilt Semi on the inside shoulder. The truck hit the guardrail and then got pinched between the semi and the bridge. The car then drove into the median and came back across both lanes of traffic.
The driver of the car was. fifty-four year old Marcos Zamora. He had to be transported by the Russell County EMS ambulance to the Dorrance exit then had to meet the EagleMed helicopter which landed to transport him to a Hospital in Wichita.
According to the investigation, the driver was not buckled. The driver of the Semi Truck was luckily not injured.
Semi Truck Crash Spills Produce
A semi truck overturned on the freeway. During the crash the Semi lost it’s produce that it was hauling.The semi crashed into a car carrier.
According to reports, the overturned semi truck was carrying produce at the time of the crash and caused the freeway to be shut down for a little while.
The accident happened around 3 o’clock in the morning. The semi truck was hauling around 40,000 pounds of produce, there was another semi that crashed and it was hauling three vehicles.
Accidents happen, this one caused the closure of the southbound 14 Freeway truck lanes to the southbound 5 Freeway. Police say that the car hauler crashed first, then the semi truck clipped the wheel of the hauler.
Semi Truck Crash
The semi truck was carrying apples and it ended up on its side. Luckily no one was injured in either of the crashes. The authorities lanes were closed until at least noon and they had to remove the produce before they could move the semi truck.
Police think that the crashes were caused by the heavy rainfall that had started overnight.
The rains flooded Polliwog Park in Manhattan Beach which submerged most of the benches and playground pieces.
Man Killed in Crash
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) said that a twenty year old male passenger was killed in the crash on the south Highway 99 at Rosedale Highway in the afternoon.
There was a 19 year old male driver that had to be taken to a local hospital for his unknown injuries.
CHP said that they believe that the crash was caused by the wet roads as well as accelerated speed. Caltrans reported tot he scene and cleared the road with sand after oil came from the white Cadillac after it was it.
Three lanes had to be closed while the accident was cleaned up. The roads were reopened by 4 o’clock that evening.
The California Highway Patrol said that a semi truck hit a white car on highway 99 close to 1:09 p.m. There was a fatality reported.
Two People Die in Semi Truck Crash
Sadly two people have died after a semi truck crash. A car crashed into a back of a Semi Truck that was stopped on the shoulder of the eastbound 10 Freeway in Claremont.
The police reported that the crash happened around four o’clock int he morning. It was right before the Indian Hill Boulevard exit.
The car slammed into the back of the trailer that was parked. The crash sliced off the roof of the car.
