Car Crash in Modesto
When you think of patrol cars you think of safety and possibly worry. You don’t think of a patrol car wrecking. However it happens. Recently a sheriff’s deputy and a community service office have sadly died after their patrol car hit a building and then caught on fire.
Police say that the Stainislaus County Sheriff’s Deptuy, Jason Garner as well as his passenger, Officer Raschel Johnson were just responding to a burglary call when their car sadly swerved and ironically hit an auto wreckage business.
CHP got involved and CHP Officer, Thomas Olsen said that the patrol car was engulfed in flames. By the time that the emergency responders got to the scene the car was destroyed.
The crash is still being investigated.
According to reports, Officer Garner was a nine year veteran of the department. Johnson had worked there for fifteen years.
Crash Suspects Run From Police
Police chases rarely end well for the fleeing suspect or whoever gets in the suspects way.
According to the police, two people that were running from the police were killed in a car crash. They had stolen a vehicle and then crashed into a tree. This happened along a busy stretch of Hollywood Boulevard, the crashed vehicle burst into flames.
The reports said that the crash happened around 2 in the morning. According to Officer Mike Lopez from the Los Angeles Police Department, the police tried to stop a 1993 Honda Accord was reportedly stolen.
Police chased the suspects as they ran east on the boulevard. At one point in the chase, the suspects lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle jumped the curb and then crashed into a tree.
No officers were hurt during the incident however both suspects were pronounced dead at the scene.
The LAPD’s Hollywood Division tweeted that their officers had tried very hard to put out the fire but had no luck. L.A. firefighters finally was able to put out the fire. The news video showed a covered charred vehicle.
The busy stretch of Hollywood Boulevard had to be closed until noon that day.
Four Year Old Boy Remembered
The loss of a child is unimaginable. It has to be the hardest thing you will ever suffer through. A four year old boy has been identified as Nathan Moreno. The family has sadly had to make a GoFundMe page.
According to the CHP reports, there was a crash on a Thursday around 7:30 p.m. it happened at the intersection of Buena Vista Blvd. and South Vineland Rd.
CHP reported that sixty year old, Adela Duarte was travelling northbound on S.Vineland Rd. She came to a stop for a stop sign at the intersection. Duarte started into the intersection while it was unsafe and drove directly into the path of twenty-eight ear old, Monica Rodriguez. Rodriguez was traveling westbound on Buena Vista Blvd. The front end of Rodriguez’s car hit the right side of Duarte’s car.
Vehicle Crash
Duarte suffered from major injuries. She had to be transported to Kern Medical. Duarte had a passenger who also suffered from major injuries and was also transported to Kern Medical. There were two other passengers in Duarte’s car, seventeen year old, Arriana Monroy and twenty-eight year old, Miguel Contreras. They suffered from minor injuries.
Rodriguez suffered from minor injuries. There was a four year old boy who was a passenger in Rodriguez’s car who sadly died at the scene.
Luckily, drugs and alcohol weren’t expected to be a factor in this crash.
Members of the Arvin Little League came together in a park in Arvin on Friday night to help remember the little boy who lost his life. Dozens of people gathered to release balloons in memory of the four year old little boy who lost his innocent life way too soon.
