Multi-Vehicle Crash Injures Four in Huntington Beach

The weekend did not start off so good for five people in Huntington Beach this weekend. On Friday September 12th a forty-four year old man has died due to a multi-vehicle crash in the Huntington Beach area. The crash left four other people injured according to the authorities.

The incident happened a little after noon at around 12:20 in the afternoon. The crash happened in the 9800 block of Hamilton Avenue, which according to the police is just west of Brookhurst Street.

  The preliminary investigation showed that the silver Honda Pilot had been crossing Hamilton when it crashed into a red Pontiac G8 as well as a gray GMC Yukon. The Honda then hit two male pedestrians  as well five more parked vehicles that were in a nearby parking lot. The Huntington Beach police and the local Fire Department were quick to respond to the scene. At the scene, one of the hit pedestrians was immediately pronounced dead, according to the investigating officials. The dead pedestrians name has not been released due to pending notification to the deceased's family. One of the other pedestrians was immediately transported to the UCI Medical Center. The fifty-two year old man was reported to have major injuries.

  The forty-one year old driver of the Honda Pilot was reported to have "moderate injuries". She was taken to the Western Medical Center in Santa Ana, along with her eight year old girl and four year old boy. The little girl only had minor injuries and luckily the little boy was uninjured.  The driver of the red Pontiac was transported to UCI Medical Center for moderate injuries. That driver was a seventy-eight year old woman. The thirty- four year old driver of the GMC Yukon was luckily unharmed during the crash.

  The Police Department stated that all of the drivers involved were very cooperative with the investigating officers. No citations have been issued at this time and there were also no arrests made.
