DUI Car Crash
Any type of car accident is heart breaking, especially when someone dies or gets severely injured. When someone drinks and drives it’s maddening. Why would you put yourself at risk? Why would you put innocent people at risk?
A man has sadly lost his life after a car crash in Long Beach. Police think that the crash involved drunk driving. Seriously? How thoughtless.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, there was a car heading north on Clark Avenue. The car veered off the road and then struck a utility pole.
DUI CRASH
Police found two passengers in the car when they got to the crash site. One of the victims had a broken leg and was later transferred to the Long Beach Memorial Medical Center. The other person was unconscious and was later pronounced dead. The Coroner’s office was able to identify the man as, thirty-one year old, Justin McLean.
The police say that a few blocks from the scene they found a man walking away from the scene. A witness was able to identify him as the driver, where police then found that he was under the influence.
The driver will now face vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated, felony hit and run, and felony driving under the influence.
As if the wreck and driving under the influence isn’t bad enough. Running away from your mistakes and those who are hurt due to your negligence is just pure cowardliness. Hopefully the driver learns from this and NEVER makes this mistake again.
Three Die in Crash
Speeding rarely ends well. While you might get home safely one time, the next you might wreck and hurt yourself or kill someone else on accident.
Sadly three people have died after a car wreck. The car that they were in crashed into a canal in Fresno County.
The CHP says that the 2008 Mazda was traveling south on Del Ray Avenue. The Mazda was going pretty fast and this was early in the morning, around 6 a.m. The road was curving and the driver lost control of the car. The car flipped and ended up submerged in a canal.
The driver as well as the other two passengers died at the scene. Luckily, the fourth passenger survived with only minor injuries.
CHP hasn’t released the names of the victims but did confirm they’re from Kingsburg. Investigators did confirm that alcohol was involved in the crash.
