Just several hours after a multi-vehicle crash in the San Bernardino County, Authorities detained a man who was connected in the accident that left one person dead and two others were injured.
The police investigators are questioning the man at his home, he is considered the person of interest in this case.
The California Highway Police (CHP) received the report of the crash around two eleven that morning. The report stated that there was a crash involving a big rig at the Etiwanda Avenue and the San Bernardino Avenue. According to Sgt. Eric Lee, the intersection was bordered by Fontana to the east and Rancho Cucamonga to the West.
When the police officers arrived at the scene they discovered that one of the people involved in the crash had already died. According to the investigators the big rig was traveling northbound on Etiwanda Avenue when it’s driver apparently ran a red light. The running of the red light the big rig collided with two other vehicles that were going westbound on San Bernardino Avenue. Another vehicle had also been ran off the road by the truck before the crash.

He also said that the man abandoned the vehicle at the Napa Street about a half mile away from the scene. The driver then ran out into the field. The San Bernardino County deputies and the California Highway Patrol Cucamonga Police had to use the police dogs to conduct a search. The Police later called the search off.
