Hit and Run Incident Kills Teen
Someone dying is always heartbreaking, but knowing that someone killed your child or loved one is so heartbreaking. A 17 year old girl has died after being hit by a hit and run driver in Hyde Park neighborhood. She was hit Wednesday morning. A man did later turn himself in.
The victim was identified by a family member. The victim, Reanna Goss was hit around six thirty on Tuesday evening. She had been crossing in the middle of the block on 48th Street when she was sadly struck by an eastbound vehicle. The light blue Toyota Camry had been speed and then fled the scene, according to the police.
Reanna had to be transported to a Harbor-UCLA Medical Center on Tuesday, she was in critical condition at that time. According to Detective S. Smith from the LAPD South Traffic Division, She sadly died on Wednesday morning.
According to the police, later a thirty year old man from L.A. turned himself in to the police. He has been identified as, Jesus Palomares Jaime Jr. His arrest happened around nine thirty in the morning, he’s being held on a bail amount of $50,000.
Family and Friends Mourn Hit and Run Teen Victim
The family is planning a Wednesday evening vigil. Reanna has a younger brother and sister. Dozes of balloons and candle have been place where she was sadly hit. They were her favorite color, pink.
According to the fundraiser page on GoFundMe.com set up to help her family, Reanna went by the name of Annie. Annie was a senior at the City of Angels school. She eventually wanted to open a bakery that she would hope to call “Annie’s Pastries”.

Another Fatal San Francisco Crash
A person involved in the incident was arrested later Wednesday, according to local news.
Two of the victims are in serious condition, one is in critical condition and a fourth was in fair condition.
Officials said the incident appeared to be isolated and added they don’t believe the public is at risk. Sources told the San Francisco Chronicle that those who were injured or killed in the incident were attempting to steal the driver’s vehicle.
The incident occurred in an industrial neighborhood along the waterfront, a few miles from the city’s financial district.
