Motorcycle Crash on The Highway

Motorcycle Accidents can be pretty scary. There’s little protection for the motorcycle rider. All crashes are scary, but in my opinion, big rig and motorcycle crashes are the scariest. Unless you’re actually involved in one then I’m sure that one is the scariest at the time.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), a fatal motorcycle accident happened along the Pacific Coast Highway which is close to Malibu. The crash happened Sunday evening.

The crash was reported at around 4:37 in the evening. It happened near the intersection of Deer Creek Road and the PCH.

The on scene authorities said that the motorcycle was traveling on the northbound side of the highway. According to the reports, the motorcycle rider then ran off the side of the road and lost control, ultimately flipping the Motorcycle.

The Ventura County Fire Department sent out their air squad to help with the medical aid. However, the helicopter couldn’t take off due to the weather conditions.

Luckily no other injuries were reported.

Motorcycle Ride

People who own a motorcycle tend to be friendly and free spirited. Same to be said about David Craigg whose family says he was happiest while he was riding on his Harley Davidson. He often rode with his younger brother, Danny.

According to the family the men were inseparable. They were both devoted family men and very loving as sons.

On one Sunday afternoon, David sadly struck a roundabout along Woodward and Oleander Avenues. He did not survive the crash. According to reports, Danny followed shortly after. Police claim that both of the brothers were speeding.

Barbara Craigg’s (Mother to Danny and David) Statement:

David passed away. Danny survived but we’re thinking he had a cardiac arrest, knowing that his brother was gone… they couldn’t go without each other.

David and Danny were born just twenty-one months apart. According to family and friends, the brothers were very close. They were often described as the jokesters, who were always welcoming people into their homes and their hearts.

Close Friend, Anthony Oliveria’s Statement:

Family and friends also say that both the men were devoted husbands and fathers. David had five children and Danny and two of his own.

David’s Wife, Julie’s Statement:

Both of them were wonderful men who took care of their families. Loved their kids unconditionally. Loved their wives unconditionally.

As sad as it is to loose the men. The family does find some solace in the fact that the brothers both went together and they were doing what they loved.

Their father, Randy said that he and his wife were “honored to have them and raise them”.

If anyone would like to donate to the families expenses for the funeral, you can do so by contacting P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home.
