No matter what sport you're playing head injuries are very probable. A high school football player has died after suffering from a head injury in a football game. Charles Youvella was the young man who sustained the injury during the game on a Saturday night.
The Interscholastic Association confirmed the high school senior's death on a Monday. They also released a statement that said they were deeply sadden by the tragic loss of Charles Youvelle. They also said that the boy loved football and he was a wide receiver. "During Saturday's game Charles suffered a traumatic brain injury." They went on to say that while Charles was hospitalized he sadly passed away. Charles family and his father were by his side.
The AIA said and account would be set up and established to help the Youvella family with costs that came from their son's tragic death.
