The man was dragged for was dragged with his bike for 60 feet then ended up beneath the train. The bike was dragged father, 100 feet past where the man was laying.
He was then transported to a nearby hospital and was in moderate condition. The Santa Barbara City Fire crews and AMR medics treated the bicycler for his injuries to his legs and took cervical precautions as they prepared him for transportation. He was transported by 9:50 that morning.
The Santa Barbara City Fire Department urges everyone to please use extreme caution and heed all warning associated with train traffic. Trains can not stop on a dime and by the time they get slowed down it’s too late, so please use caution.
