A car vs a train scenario doesn’t sound too good. It actually probably didn’t turn out too great to whoever was in the vehicle. According to the local news, a Toyota Corolla collided with a Metro Train in Pasadena. The collision left two people injured. The crash prompted a temporary suspension of the Gold Line Service between two stations on an early Sunday afternoon.
The crash happened at the Metro crossing which happens to be in the area of the California Boulevard and Raymond Avenue. The crash reportedly happened just before noon according to the Pasadena Fire Department.
According to the Pasadena fire spokeswoman, Lisa Derderian, there were two male occupants inside of the Toyota Corolla. Both men had to be taken to the local hospital due to their serious conditions. The ages of the men, are not known at this time.
Luckily there were no injuries reported from anyone on the Metro train. The train was hauling twenty-four people at the time of the collision.
The Gold Line Service was at first, thought to be suspended between the Fillmore and Del Mar stations following the after math of the Metro/car collision.
Limited service was resumed as quickly as possible. After the return of the routine, there was about a twenty minute delay at times. Luckily the authorities worked diligently to restore the system to it’s routine. Normal service was expected to return at 2:30 in the afternoon.
There are several types of bus accidents, none of which seem appealing or safe. Luckily train incidents are fairly common. According to the Studio City police, there was a person that was in custody for a felony hit and run investigation. The investigation is being started after the crashing of a Metro bus and SUV in Studio City.
Five people suffered minor injuries from the crash. The crash was reported around 11:40 at night on Thursday. It happened in the 11400 block of Ventura Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
There were thirty-five people board on the bus at the time of the crash. The five that were injured were all able to be treated at the scene.
According to spokesperson, Topanga Division from the Los Angeles Police Departmen, The driver of the SUV is the suspected driver but luckily the police were able to arrest him nearby.
That’s about all they know at this time. The investigators are not releasing more information at this time.

The report shows that there was a thirty-three year old officer driving a Ford Crown Victoria patrol car. When the car moved into the lane, she was then followed by another car. The officer knew when another vehicle is around tried to go around.The officer then lost control of the patrol car and struck a raised concrete wall on the right shoulder of the highway.
The ford then traveled backwards across one lane and ended up in the path of an oncoming Metro bus. The CHP say that the forty-nine year old bus driver quickly slammed on the brakes to try and avoid the police vehicle by changed the lanes. However he was unable to stop in time. That is when the bus hit the right side of the car.
The officer suffered from moderate lacerations to his right forearm as well as his head. The CHP also say that the bus driver was suffering from some discomfort in his leg, neck and back.
