Late Saturday/Early Sunday Crash
This is about the wild Saturday night Crash. Everyone loves to have a little fun, but running from the police is probably a little “too” much fun. Now Police are searching for three suspects who led the Huntington Beach police officers on a pursuit in a stolen car and then fled the scene after an officer- involved shooting which was near the Davenport Island.
According to the reports, the police officers had tried to stop a green, 1969 Honda Accord for a vehicle code violation. Usually people get nervous during being pulled over, but this person never pulled over. In fact, in the area of Edinger Avenue and Edwards Street the incident started. This all happened around two, fifty in the morning, the driver of the green Accord didn’t pull over when asked. In fact, the driver sped away at a high rate of speed. That is when the pursuit began.
California Crash
According to the Huntington Beach Police Department, at some point during the pursuit the driver had actually turned around and sped towards the officers. Talk about a crazy and scary turn of events. One of the officers had fired several shots, one of them hit the vehicle a few times. The officers were luckily not shot during this.
The people who were running from the police eventually abandoned the vehicle near the Edwater Lane and Courtney Drive. They then fled the scene on foot. There were several patrol units at the scene as well as K-9 units. However, no one was able to locate the suspects.
Police do not know if the people who were inside of the car were hurt. There were three people inside of the car. The driver was described as a black man who was in his twenties, he also had a one inch afro-style hair cut.

Fiery Crash
To lose someone is absolutely heartbreaking. To lose someone to someone else’s careless driving?! Unbearable! Sadly, two people are now dead after a speeding car lost control and then crossed into opposing traffic. The crash caused a fiery wreck on a street in Santa Clarita.
According to reports, the wreck was reported just before 12:30 in the morning. The reports showed that the driver of a BMW, which yes they are awesome cars but that gives them no rights to travel fast, was travel at a high speed. The BMW was traveling in between traffic when it crossed into the other lane.
According to the reports, the driver of the BMW was traveling pretty fast when the car crashed head on with a Honda sedan. A passersby pulled the thirty-four year old driver of the BMW out of the vehicle before the car burst into flames. Sadly, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
The driver of the Honda, who was sadly just an eighteen year old young man was also killed in the crash. The officials said that the eighteen year old had been ejected from the vehicle and the BMW driver died inside of his car.
Saugus Resident, Richard Killam’s Statement:
It’s really sad. I mean, here’s a kid who’s just graduated. Here’s a kid who’s got everything ahead of him and that’s not going to happen for him anymore.
According to friends, the young man had a lot going for him. He had graduated with academic honors, was on the swim team and in ASB. He was also heading to San Diego State University in the fall.
Sadly, speeding isn’t just common on this roadway but everywhere. Why should other families have to suffer just because you couldn’t leave on time? Or heck, sometime’s it just because that’s the way you CHOOSE to drive.
