Sunday, March 16th Has Several Accidents

The first accident on Sunday, March 16th was according to the California Fire, a motorcyclist who was killed after falling 100 feet down a canyon in Alpine.

The deadly crash happened around two thirty that evening on the Japatul Spur at the Old Japatul Road. The Cal Fire, also stated that the motorcycle went down the canyon known as Horse Beef Canyon.

The Second of the Accidents

Rescue workers were sent out to the Sunset Cliffs on Sunday afternoon when a car toppled over a cliff and onto the beach below. The San Diego lifeguards said that the car had went over the end of Orchard Avenue at three thirty in the evening.

The rescue crews had to use the jaws of life to cut the roof off the car then had to peel back the dashboard to reach the driver. Heavy traffic and spectators forced rescuers to call in a helicopter to help get the trapped person out.

The twenty-eight year old victim was airlifted to the UCSD Medical Center. Some eye witnesses stated to the police that the car had came barreling down Cable Street at around eighty miles per hour. The vehicle even wiped out barricades and stop signs.

Police Investigators think that the wreck may not have been an accident. They think that maybe the crash was a suicide attempt.
