CHP Chase Involves Two Crash Incidents
A Crash is a scary. A kidnapping? Even scarier, you know what’s happening, but you never know what’s going to happen to yourself.
Now a twenty-nine year old man who is suspected of kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon is in custody. This was after he lead the police on a very long chased on Saturday morning. He sadly had two children in his vehicle when the chase ended.
Dylan Lassiter is being held on a $350,000 bond and was booked for suspicion of a kidnapping and assault with a deadly weapon on a deputy. This information came from the California Highway Patrol.
According to the East Los Angeles Sheriff’s deputies, they notified the CHP around 12:30 in the morning that they were in the pursuit of a vehicle. They were on the eastbound Pomona (60) Freeway. Mr. Lassiter reportedly led the CHP officers onto several freeways in the Baldwin Park area. He was driving pretty fast, going around 70 to 100 miles per hour. Luckily, it was only light traffic.
Crash Involves 3 Year Old Boy
A car crash is horrible. When someone gets hurt in a crash that’s even worse, but when a little boy loses his life it’s absolutely heartbreaking.
According to reports, a three year old little boy died from injuries he sustained after being hit by a car at an intersection in Arleta Friday afternoon.
The crash happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. in the 8900 block of North Varna Avenue. The Los Angeles Fire Department said a man who was with the child suffered minor injuries.
The toddler was rushed to a local trauma center in grave condition, but sadly he later died of his injuries.
Police said the driver who struck the child remained at the scene. It was unclear what caused the crash.
According to the Los Angeles police, there was no crime committed because the driver stayed at the scene and tried to get help by calling 911.
At this time, the investigation is on going.
Fiery Hit and Run Crash
Sadly two people had to be hospitalized but at least their alive, after a fiery crash. the crash left one car on its roof in front of a Canoga Park home.
The driver reportedly slammed into three parked vehicles in the 22900 block of Roscoe Boulevard in West Hills-Canoga Park area. The car then flipped over on the front lawn of the home of a man in his twenties who was trapped inside.
The man was later rescued when the firefighters were able to extinguish the flames that engulfed the car. The man was later hospitalized due to his critical condition.
There was also a woman in her twenties in the car who also had to be hospitalized due to her serious condition.
Wrong Way Crash on the Highway
We’ve all accidentally drove the wrong way once or twice. Hopefully, you’ve managed to get turned around without incident though.
According to the police, six people have sadly died after a crash due to a wrong way driver. The crash happened on a Northern California Highway.
The CHP says that they got a call around 12:30 a.m. about a Chevy heading south in the northbound lanes of the interstate 5 near Woodland.
The California Highway Patrol says that the 2013 Chevy had only one person inside, a female driver, collided with a Dodge, who had five people inside. They collided about 20 miles northwest of Sacramento. Sadly, both of the vehicles didn’t stand much hope since they were both engulfed in flames.
Police say that the woman who was in the Chevy and everyone that was in the Dodge died at the scene. Police are trying to figure if alcohol or drugs played a role in the horrible crash.
Rain Slicked Roads Cause Deadly Crash
Sadly a driver who was traveling on rain slicked roads died after tragically slamming into a utility pole.
According to the reports the driver appeared to have suddenly lost control of the vehicle and jumped the curb then ended up striking a pole. This all happened on Victory Boulevard.
The emergency responders had to use the Jaws of Life to cut the roof off of the Ford Mustang in order to pull the driver out out of the vehicle.
The paramedics had to rush the driver to the hospital however, he or she later passed away.
Sunday Morning Accident
A person has sadly passed away after a car crash in an unincorporated area west of Temecula. The Riverside County Fire Department said that the fatal crash was reported around 8:30 in the morning. The accident happened in the area of Camino Estribo and Camino Porto.
According to the Fire Officials the car went 100 feet over the embankment in the area. The accident killed one person and injured another. The injured victim was transported to the hospital.
The CHP are continuing to investigate the incident.
