DUI Crash Kills Three and Injures One
DUI accidents are tragic. In the latest DUI crash two Torrance high school students were kill along with another person in a crash on the 101 Freeway. One other person was critically injured.
On Monday that accident happened around 12:45 in the morning. The CHP (California Highway Patrol) stated that the red 2005 Mazda was going south when the driver had veered to the right. That made the car hit a guardrail. The force of the collision caused the Mazda to overturn and block the #2 lane.
Just seconds later a 2013 Ford Mustang hit the overturned Mazda, this caused the two people that was in the Mazda to be ejected from the car. The police investigators say that the 52 year old Kimberly Kreis (the driver of the Ford Mustang) was arrested for DUI and then booked at the local jail facility.

The victims names were Brian Adonay Lopez-20, Danielle Nicole Murillo-17, and Jessica Leffew-17. Jessica and Danielle were both Seniors at North High School. The 20 year old young man that was critically injured is Erick Hoel August. He is being cared for at the Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
According to Manuel Murillo (one of the girl’s father) his daughter, her best friend, and their boyfriends were heading home from a concert the had attended that night when the accident happened. He thinks that the driver which was his daughter’s boyfriend had fallen asleep at the wheel.
Murillo stated that his daughter was a great athlete. She and her best friend were popular students at their high school.

We are devastated that such a beautiful person was taken from us at such a young age. She was just vibrant, always had a smile on her face. She had a great attitude toward everything.
The school notified the students on Monday Morning of the tragic accident. The school brought in a crisis management team to help everyone deal with their grief. The school is holding a memorial for the girls at 6:30 this evening.
