One Dead and One Injured After Vehicle Goes Off of Santa Clarita Cliff

According to the local authorities, one person has died and another person has been injured in a Saturday vehicle crash. The vehicle was traveling and went over the side of a cliff in the Los Angeles National Forest which is just northeast of Santa Clarita.

The crash was reported mid afternoon, around five after two. The crash was reported near the intersection of Sierra Highway and Rwoher Canyon Road.

Emergency Workers Work to Save Vehicle Crash Victims

According to a spokesperson from the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the firefighters who were quick to respond to the scene found that one of the victims were dead.

According to Officer, Alex Rubio, from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) the victim who was found dead was a female. She died after a Jeep vehicle crashed. The rescuers on scene worked to make their way down to the bottom of the cliff so that they could recover her body.

The second victim had to be airlifted to an Antelope Valley hospital. It was unclear what kind of condition that victim was in at the time. According to the California Highway Patrol officers, there is an ongoing investigation at this time. The’re are currently working to hopefully find the cause of the crash.
