Fatal Motorcycle Accident

Another Harley Davidson Motorcycle crash happened. This one, also doesn’t have a happy ending.  Sadly a Lake Elsinore man was killed during a motorcycle crash when he was splitting the lanes at a very high speed. This happened on the Riverside 91 Freeway, which is in Orange County.

According to the coroner’s office, the motorcyclist was later identified as sixty-three year old, James Schafer.

The California Highway Patrol, aka CHP said that the crash happened about 9:50 p.m. on the eastbound 91 Freeway.

CHP report said that Schafer was riding a 2012 Harley Davidson. They also said that the man was splitting lanes between the number one and two lanes of traffic going at a very high speed. During this little escapade he rear ended a 2014 Toyota that was slowing down for the slower traffic. The motorcycle continued out of control and then hit a 2014 Honda.

The paramedics rushed Schafer to the Orange County Global Medical Center which is located in Santa Ana. Schafer died due to his injuries at 10:45 p.m. according to the coroner’s office.

Other than Schafer’s there were no other injuries were reported. The CHP’s Santa Ana office are asking that if anyone saw this crash then to please call them at, (714) 567-6000.

California Crash

Sometimes it’s pretty obvious when a crash is bound to happen. Like during a police chase or a getaway car gone wrong.

Now a Cedar Falls man has died after the motorcycle he was riding in California collided with a stolen car.

Fifty-five year old, Drew Ketter is a native who graduated from Cedar Falls High School in 1979, but currently lived in Midway City California. Sadly, Ketter died at the local hospital after the crash happened in Modjeska Canyon in Orange County.

According to the reports, Ketter’s wife, Joanne Ketter was also on the motorcycle when the crash happened. She also had to be taken to the hospital due to her injuries.

Local News said that he driver of the Honda Accord apparently fled the scene. Which later, the authorities found out that the Honda Accord was actually stolen. So it’s not that surprising that the driver fled the scene.

Local law enforcement in southern California are now asking for the public’s help in finding the driver of the Honda Accord.
