Fatal Hit-and-Run Driver Turns Herself In

A thirty-two year old woman has decided to turn herself in to the police after she allegedly drove without her lights on. She then struck and killed an older woman. The hit-and-run incident happened in Rosemead.

An elder lady, Qingrong Chai, who would have turned seventy-years old on Thursday, was walking near the intersection of Marshall Street and Greendale Avenue at around seven o’clock Sunday evening. Chai was suddenly struck by a sport utility vehicle which was traveling with its headlights off. Then the driver fled the scene. All of this is according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Qingrong Chai was later identified by the Los Angeles County coroner’s office. Sadly she was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident.
